蛲虫又叫线虫，外形恰似一条白线，长度大约2厘米蛲虫病最常见而又十分主要的症状，是肛周和会阴奇痒，特别是晚上入睡以后，影响睡眠。宝宝患上该病的突出表现为半夜突然惊哭、食欲不振、烦躁不安、消瘦、腹泻、腹痛、呕吐、恶心等，偶尔有蛲虫爬女孩阴道、尿道，出现尿频尿急，偶尔还会有可能侵入邻近器官，引起阑尾炎、腹膜炎、输卵管炎等，肛周、会阴部除瘙痒外，还可能会发炎、湿疹，或继发感染，分泌物增多。病患者最为常见喜欢，如嗜食土块、煤渣、食盐等

  小孩有夜间哭闹特别厉害或有夜间惊醒，平常有不思饮食，有时腹痛或腹泻，甚至哭喊会阴或肛门周围痒。夜间在孩子入睡1~3小时后，检查肛周会阴可看见有白色小线状虫卵。活用生理盐水浸湿棉签，在肛周涂拭，把棉签放在与一条玻璃管内，再用盐水慢慢倒入管内，就会看见虫卵的漂浮，就可以确诊是小儿蛲虫病了。又或者睡前给宝宝肛门部位涂抹一点蛲虫膏，如果好转，说明就是蛲虫病。
单吃药对蛲虫无效，它会爬出肛门排卵，虫卵孵化幼虫可又爬进肛门。该病即使不予治疗，亦可能自愈，因为蛲虫寿命不到30天，那么就每晚洗净肛门后，涂擦蛲虫药膏，可以止痒和减少身体重复感染。也可用大蒜头50克，去皮捣成极细的蒜泥，加进少许盐和香油调匀备用。每晚临睡前将肛门洗净，用棉球蘸取蒜汁涂肛门四周，连续涂一周。


预防

勤晾晒被褥：对宝宝使用过的被褥要勤晾晒，使虫卵死亡。

勤换内衣裤：对儿童孩子的内衣裤要每天更换，并把脏的衣裤，用开水烫洗，杀死虫卵。

清洁肛门：要每天为孩子清洗肛门，使虫卵难以附着于肛门的皮肤上进行继续孵化。

勤洗手，勤剪指甲：让宝宝养成勤洗手、勤剪指甲的习惯，不给虫卵以任何机会进入体内。
